The Primitive Institute of Technology has been started as an offshoot of Phoenix Obsidian Designs. The overall goal of its parent company is the development of educational materials to better assist archaeologists and anthropologists to teach and to further their own knowledge and abilities. The Primitive Institute of Technology's goal is therefore to provide workshops and hands-on classes geared to the further education of career archaeologists and advanced students. We believe that there is no better way to learn than to try and do something oneself.

Our classes will begin with the fields of lithic technology and ethnobotany since those are the speciality fields of our lead teacher (see our teacher's bio page). It is our intense hope that we can expand the offerings in the years to come.
